This page explains what cookies we use on the recitid.ai website and how to control them. The RecitID mobile apps (iOS and Android) do not use browser cookies — see our Privacy Policy for the full data-handling picture across website and app.

The short version

We use one cookie category: analytics. It tells us which pages people read so we can improve the site. We do not run advertising cookies, we do not track you across other websites, and we do not sell data to anyone.

What gets set, and when

When you first visit recitid.ai you see a consent banner at the bottom of the screen. Nothing is set until you pick one of the two buttons:

Accept analytics. We load Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-RTL73YPW07) with IP anonymisation enabled. It drops a first-party _ga cookie and a per-property cookie for up to 2 years.
Reject. No analytics code runs and no analytics cookies are set. Google Analytics is not loaded at all.

We also save your choice itself in a small localStorage entry (recitid-cookie-consent-v1) so we don't ask you again on every visit. This entry is strictly necessary and does not require consent.

Changing your choice

To change your answer, clear site data for recitid.ai in your browser settings and refresh. The banner will reappear. In most browsers: Settings → Privacy → Cookies and site data → Search for recitid.ai → Remove.

Cookies on third-party payment and app-store links

Clicking our App Store, Google Play, or other outbound links takes you to sites we do not control (Apple, Google, Mailchimp, Sanity, etc.). Those sites set their own cookies under their own policies.
