2.1 Audio Data

When you use the detection feature, we temporarily process audio recordings to identify Quran recitations. Audio data is processed in real-time and is not stored permanently on our servers. Audio is sent to a third-party speech-to-text service (OpenAI Whisper) for transcription, then discarded after processing.

2.2 Usage Data

We may collect anonymous usage data including pages viewed, features used, and general interaction patterns to improve the Service. This data does not personally identify you.

2.3 Account Data

If you create an account, we collect the information you provide during registration, such as your name, email address, and authentication provider details (Apple ID or Google account identifiers).

2.4 Device Information

We may collect device information such as browser type, operating system, and general device category to optimise the Service for your device.

We use the information we collect to:

• Process audio for Quran recitation identification
• Provide and maintain the Service
• Improve and personalise your experience
• Manage your account and provide customer support
• Process subscription transactions

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

• OpenAI — Audio data is sent to OpenAI's Whisper API for speech-to-text transcription. This data is processed according to OpenAI's data usage policies.
• Hosting providers — We use Vercel for hosting. Server logs may contain IP addresses and request metadata.
• Payment processors — If you subscribe to premium features, payment data is processed by Apple (App Store) or RevenueCat. We do not store credit card information.

5. Data Retention

Audio recordings are processed in real-time and not stored beyond the processing window. Account data is retained for the duration of your account. Usage data is retained in anonymised form for analytics purposes.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication mechanisms, and regular security reviews.
