What is AI Chat?

AI Chat lets you ask follow-up questions about the Quran, Islamic practice, a specific verse, or anything you've detected or read in the app. It answers with cited scholarly sources and never issues fatwas. The free plan includes 5 messages a day; Monthly Pro and Annual Pro make them unlimited.

In the app the chat is called "Ask RecitID": "Quran, hadith, dhikr & duas — ask anything, with sources".

Ways to open it:

  1. From the Quran tab, tap "Ask AI".
  2. On any ayah in the reader, tap its "Ask AI" button. The chat opens about that verse, and the placeholder reads "Ask about" followed by the surah's name.
  3. On Home, tap the "Assistant" shortcut ("Ask anything").
  4. After a detection, tap "Explain this Ayah" and keep asking.

Using the chat:

  1. Type your question and send it. While a reply is being written, the send button becomes a stop button.
  2. Tap a suggested follow-up under a reply to go deeper.
  3. Tap "+" to start a fresh topic.
  4. Tap the clock icon ("Chat history") to reopen earlier conversations. Chats from your other devices appear under "On other devices". "Forget everything" deletes all your conversations from the phone and from the cloud.

Quran verses in answers aren't typed by the AI; the app inserts them from its verified text. Hadith are quoted only from a verified set, with their source.

Good to know: AI Chat needs a free account and an internet connection. Each message you send counts once towards the free daily limit, which resets at midnight UTC. Once you've used it, the chat box is disabled until the reset or until you upgrade.
