What languages does the AI understand?

You can ask in any of the supported languages, including English, Arabic, French, Turkish, Urdu, and Indonesian. The AI replies in the language your app is set to, and for most people that is the same language you asked in. If your app is set to any other language, answers come in English, unless you ask in Arabic.

How the reply language is chosen:

1. If your RecitID app language is Arabic, French, Turkish, Indonesian or Urdu, answers come in that language.
2. If your app is in English or another language, and you ask in Arabic, the answer comes in Arabic.
3. Otherwise, answers come in English.

To change the app language on iPhone:

1. On Home, tap your profile picture to open Settings.
2. Under Appearance, tap "App Language". This opens RecitID's page in the iPhone Settings app.
3. Choose your language and return to RecitID.

What stays the same in every language:

1. Quran verses and hadith are inserted from verified sources rather than typed by the AI.
2. The same rules apply: cited sources, and no religious rulings.

Good to know: the AI reply language is separate from your Quran translation (41 languages) and your Live Translation language (52 languages). Changing your Quran translation doesn't change the language of AI answers.
