What is AI Explain?

On a detected verse's result card, tap 'Explain this ayah' for a concise, source-grounded explanation that draws on classical tafsir in clear modern language. Every normative claim names its source. The free plan includes 2 explanations a day; Monthly Pro and Annual Pro make them unlimited.

How to get an explanation after a detection:

1. Identify a recitation on the Detect tab.
2. On the result, scroll to "Explore".
3. Tap "Explain this Ayah" ("Deeper meaning"). On Android the card reads "Explain this ayah" ("Understand deeper meaning").
4. The explanation opens in chat, headed "Explaining" followed by the surah and verse.

Other ways in:

1. While reading the Quran, tap the "Ask AI" button on any ayah, or on the Mushaf ayah card. Chat opens with that verse as context, and you can tap "Explain this ayah" ("Explain this verse" on Android).
2. In the Daily Reminder, tap "Explain" on the verse of the day.

These two routes run through AI Chat, so they use a chat message rather than one of your daily explanations.

After the explanation you can carry on in AI Chat with follow-up questions about the same verse.

Good to know:

1. AI Explain needs a free account and an internet connection.
2. The explanation is grounded in Tafsir al-Jalalayn's commentary on that verse where there is one; otherwise it stays close to the translation. It doesn't give religious rulings.
3. When you've used today's free explanations, a "Daily limit reached" card shows when they reset (midnight UTC).
