Which translation languages are supported?
41 languages for Quran reading, including English, French, Spanish, German, Turkish, Urdu, Indonesian, Malay, Bengali, Russian, Chinese, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Swahili, Hausa, Somali, and more.
Other languages in the list include Albanian, Amharic, Azerbaijani, Bosnian, Bulgarian, Czech, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Kurdish (Sorani), Malayalam, Norwegian, Pashto, Persian, Polish, Romanian, Sindhi, Swedish, Tajik, Tamil, Tatar, Thai, Uyghur and Uzbek. To choose your translation:
- On Home, tap your profile picture to open Settings.
- Under Language, tap "Translation Language".
- Search or scroll, then tap a translation. Tap "Done".
You can also change it from inside the reader: tap the Aa button ("Reading options") and use the "Translation Language" row.
Some translations come with the app; you download the rest:
- Translations already on your phone show an "Offline" badge.
- Others show "Download" with their size. Tap to download once and they work offline after that.
- "Manage downloads" in the same picker lets you remove downloaded translations to free up space. You can download them again at any time.
On iPhone, the translations that come with the app are English (Saheeh International), French, Indonesian, Turkish (Diyanet) and Urdu (Jalandhry), plus an Arabic commentary (al-Muyassar). On Android, English (Saheeh International) comes with the app.
Good to know: if your chosen translation isn't downloaded yet, the reader shows a translation that is, with a note such as "Showing … — … isn't downloaded". Live khutbah translation is separate and has its own list of 52 languages, set under Settings › Language › "Live Translation".
