How do I bookmark a verse?

Tap the bookmark icon on any verse while reading. Open saved verses from Settings › Bookmarks on Android, or from the Bookmarks section of the Quran tab on both iPhone and Android.

To bookmark a verse:

1. Open the Quran tab and choose a surah.
2. In Verse by Verse or Compact, tap the bookmark icon on the ayah ("Bookmark verse"). Tap it again to remove it ("Remove bookmark").
3. In the Mushaf layout, tap the ayah on the page, then tap Bookmark in the card that opens.
4. You can also bookmark straight from a detection result, using the bookmark button on the verse card.

To find your bookmarks:

1. Quran tab › "Bookmarks", next to "Surah" and "Progress". Tap a bookmark to open the surah at that ayah.
2. The "Saved" shortcut on Home opens the same list (if it's one of your Home shortcuts).
3. On Android, Settings › Reading › "Bookmarks" also opens the list and shows how many you have.

Bookmarks need a free account. If you're signed out, RecitID asks you to sign in when you tap the bookmark icon (Android: "Sign in to Bookmark"). Once you're signed in, bookmarks sync to your account, so they come back on a new phone or after reinstalling.

Good to know: bookmarks are unlimited on every plan. If the list is empty you'll see "No bookmarks yet" with a reminder to bookmark verses while reading. Signing out removes bookmarks from the phone, but they return when you sign in again.
