Biography
Abu Bakr Al-Shatri (b. 1970, Jeddah) is a Saudi Quran reciter of Yemeni descent who studied Quranic recitation under Sheikh Ayman Rushdi Suwayd and holds an ijazah in the Hafs 'an 'Asim narration. He has recorded the complete Quran twice, in 1988 and again in 2006, and serves as imam of the al-Furqan Mosque in Jeddah.
