How do I create an account?

Settings › Sign In. You can sign in with Apple, Google, or email and password. There's no separate sign-up step for Apple or Google: the first time you sign in, your RecitID account is created.

Step by step:

1. On Home, tap your profile picture at the top right to open Settings.
2. Tap the "Sign in" card at the top ("Sync bookmarks & settings").
3. On "Welcome to RecitID", choose "Sign in with Apple" (on Android: "Continue with Apple"), "Sign in with Google" or "Sign in with Email".

Creating an account with email:

1. Tap "Sign in with Email", then switch to the "Sign Up" tab.
2. Enter your full name, email and a password.
3. Tap "Create Account".

Already have an email account? Use the "Sign In" tab. "Forgot password?" sends you a reset link.

Once you're signed in, the card at the top of Settings shows your name, how you signed in and your email. Tap it to open the "Account" screen, where you'll find "Sign Out" and "Delete Account".

Why sign in: bookmarks, Live Translation, the Smart Scanner, AI Chat and AI Explain need a free account, and so does buying a subscription. Your bookmarks, detection history and stats are then kept with your account and come back on a new phone.

Good to know: by signing in you agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which are linked on the sign-in screen. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, Apple gives RecitID a private relay address instead of your real one.
