How do I identify a Quran recitation?

Open RecitID and tap Detect while the recitation is playing. The app listens for up to 15 seconds, matches what it hears against every verse of the Quran, and returns the surah, the verse, the reciter and how confident it is.

1. Open the Detect tab. You can also tap "Identify a recitation" on Home, which switches to Detect and starts listening straight away.
2. Tap the big button above "Tap to Identify". The screen changes to "Listening for Quran...".
3. Hold your phone towards the sound. To stop early, tap again ("Tap when you're done"). RecitID needs at least 3 seconds of audio.
4. Wait while it shows "Matching recitation...". When it finds the verse you'll see "Match found!", and the result opens.
5. On the result you'll see the surah and verse, a reciter card with a confidence label, "Listen to Recitation" to play the full surah, and "Explain this Ayah" and "Read Full Surah" under Explore.

Clear audio often resolves in the first few seconds. The app checks the verse at about 7 seconds. If it is already sure, it shows the result while it keeps listening to the full 15 seconds to name the reciter.

Good to know:

1. Detection needs an internet connection. Offline, iPhone shows "No Internet Connection" and Android shows "Connection error".
2. You don't need an account to detect. The free plan includes 5 detections a day.
3. Your last results appear under "Recently Identified" on the Detect tab. "See all" opens your full Detection History.
4. On Android, keep RecitID open while it listens. If you switch away, Android stops the microphone and the app shows "Keep RecitID open while listening".
