Is RecitID free?

Yes. Reading is never limited: the full Quran in 3 layouts, 41 translation languages, bookmarks, Daily Reminder, offline reading and 130+ reciters for playback. On top of that the free plan gives you 5 recitation detections and 30 reciter IDs a day, 2 AI Explains, 5 AI Chat messages, 3 Smart Scanner scans, and your first Live Khutbah translation free for up to 45 minutes.

Monthly Pro ($9.99/mo) and Annual Pro ($59.99/yr), both with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers, make detection, reciter ID, AI Explain and AI Chat unlimited (subject to fair use) and open up live khutbah translation in 52 languages. No ads on any plan.

How the free limits work:

1. Daily limits reset at midnight UTC.
2. When you reach one, a "Daily limit reached" card appears with an "Upgrade to continue" button. On iPhone it also shows how long until it resets, for example "Resets in 3h 20m."
3. The free Live allowance is a single 45-minute allowance for your account, not a daily one. If you stop early, the minutes you didn't use stay available ("Free Live Translation left").
4. Bookmarks, Live, the Scanner and the AI features need a free account. Detection and reading don't.

To start a trial or subscribe:

1. Open the plans screen. It appears whenever you tap an upgrade button, for example "Upgrade" on the plan card in Settings.
2. Choose the monthly or yearly plan. Prices are shown in your local currency by Apple or Google.
3. If you're eligible for the trial, the button reads "Start 7 Days Free". On iPhone the app adds: "No commitment. Cancel anytime during the trial to avoid charges."

Payments are handled only by Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play). RecitID never sees your card details.
