Does Live mode detect Quran verses in sermons?

Yes. When the imam recites Quran during a sermon, RecitID identifies the verse and shows it with a verified green badge, the surah name, and the scholarly translation, which replaces the live AI translation for that verse.

What you'll see in the transcript:

1. A verified verse: a card with a green check badge reading "Quran" and the reference. It shows the exact Arabic of the verse, the scholarly translation in your Live language, and the verse number.
2. A likely verse: when RecitID is fairly but not fully sure, the badge is teal and reads "Likely Quran".
3. A possible reference: when the speaker only seems to refer to a verse, a small chip reads "Possibly:" followed by the reference. See the article on the 'Related verse' chip.

Live also marks hadith ("Hadith" or "Likely Hadith") and du'a ("Du'a") in the same way.

If no published translation exists in your chosen language, the verse is still shown with its exact Arabic, and the translation is labelled "AI translation" so you know where it came from.

To get the best results:

1. Sit close to the speaker, with your phone screen up and the microphone towards the khatib.
2. Keep the phone out of pockets and bags.
3. Turn on a Focus (Do Not Disturb on Android) so calls don't interrupt the session.

Good to know: verses keep their badges when you review the session afterwards. They are included when you Copy or Share the transcript. Live recognises verses but doesn't identify the reciter; for that, use Detect.
