Is Live mode the same as Detection?

No. Detection identifies a specific Quran verse. Live mode transcribes any Arabic speech continuously. It's built for lectures, sermons, and classes, not one-verse identification.

Use Detect (the Detect tab) when:

1. You're hearing Quran recitation and want to know the surah, the ayah and the reciter.
2. You want a quick answer from a short clip of up to 15 seconds.
3. You want to play the full surah afterwards in the same reciter's voice.

Use Live (the Live tab) when:

1. Someone is speaking Arabic, for example in a Friday khutbah, a lecture or a class, and you want to follow along.
2. You want a running transcript and translation in one of 52 languages.
3. You want to keep, copy or share the session afterwards.

Live still recognises Quran: if the imam recites a verse during the khutbah, Live marks it with a green "Quran" badge and shows the verse reference. It also flags hadith and du'a. It doesn't name the reciter, and it doesn't replace Detect for identifying a single recitation.

How they're counted is also different:

1. Detect uses daily counts. The free plan has 5 detections and 30 reciter IDs a day, and Pro has no daily cap (subject to fair use).
2. Live uses time. Your first khutbah is free for up to 45 minutes, then Monthly Pro includes 5 hours a month and Annual Pro 60 hours a year.

Good to know: Detect works without an account. Live needs a free account, because time is tracked against it.
