What can the Scanner recognize?

Five types of content: Quran verses (with full tafsir, translation, surah context, related verses), hadith (with narrator, grade, source, full text, explanation), du'a (with transliteration, translation, context, when to recite), dhikr (with meaning, virtues, count), and general Islamic text (OCR'd Arabic, translation, source where identifiable).

Each result is labelled at the top: QUR'AN, HADITH, DU'A, DHIKR or RECOGNISED TEXT. A picture with no readable text is described instead and labelled IMAGE (IMAGE ANALYSIS on Android). If a page holds several items, for example a list of adhkar, you'll see "[number] items found" and can open each one.

What each card contains:

1. Quran: the surah name and ayah range, the Juz and page, and whether the surah is Makki or Madani. Expandable sections cover "Tafsir" (with its source), "Notes (AI)" with the reason for revelation and key lessons, and "Surrounding verses" with "Open full surah". If the same text appears elsewhere in the Quran, RecitID tells you.
2. Hadith: for a verified match, the book and hadith number, the grading, the narrator, and other collections it also appears in. RecitID checks Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi, an-Nasa'i, Ibn Majah and the Muwatta. AI commentary is clearly marked "not a scholarly source".
3. Du'a: Arabic, transliteration and translation, with the source shown only when it's verified. "Notes (AI)" covers the occasion, when it's recommended, and its virtues.
4. Dhikr: Arabic, transliteration and translation, with the source shown only when it's verified, and notes on when to say it, the recommended count, and its virtues.
5. General Islamic text: the recognised Arabic with an AI translation, key lessons, and similar verses where relevant.

How sure is each result? Every text result says "Verified source", "Possible match", "Could not verify source" or "Recognised text", so you know whether the text was matched to a known source or only read and translated.

Good to know: scanned Quran verses can be played with a real reciter, not a synthetic voice. Use "Copy Arabic" or "Copy translation" from the "…" menu to save what you scanned.
