How many scans do I get?

Free: 3 scans a day. Monthly Pro: 25 a day. Annual Pro: 35 a day. The count resets at midnight UTC, and a scan that returns no result does not count against you.

What counts as a scan: each photo, gallery image or pasted text you send for identifying. A correction made with "Fix recognition" is sent as a new scan of the text you entered.

What doesn't count:

1. A scan that finds nothing to identify. RecitID gives it back and tells you: "This scan didn't count toward your daily limit." There's a daily allowance for these refunds: 3 a day on Free and 5 on the Pro plans. Beyond that, no-result scans count as normal.
2. A scan that fails because of a problem on our side, or a request that is rejected before it's processed, for example an image that is too large.
3. Sending a "Report incorrect result" report.

When you reach the limit:

1. A "Daily limit reached" card appears: "You've hit today's free Scan limit."
2. It counts down to the reset, for example "Resets in 3h 20m."
3. On the free plan, "Upgrade to continue" opens the plans screen. On Monthly Pro, the card offers "Upgrade to Annual" for the higher daily limit.

During a free trial you get the daily allowance of the plan you're trying: 35 a day on Annual Pro, 25 on Monthly Pro.

Good to know: midnight UTC is the same moment worldwide, so the reset may fall at a different time of day where you live. Scans need a free account, because the count is kept against it.
