Sheikh Khalid Al-Muhanna خالد المهنا

Sheikh Khalid Al-Muhanna (b. 1976, Al-Ahsa) is a Saudi reciter and assistant professor at Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University who has served as an imam of the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah since October 2019, having first led Taraweeh prayers there in Ramadan 2015.

Khalid Al-Muhanna spent his early years in Al-Ahsa before moving with his family to Riyadh, where he attended Jabal Al-Nour primary school and then the Riyadh Scientific Institute, memorising the Quran during those years. He studied at the College of Usul al-Din at Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University, graduating in 1418 AH (1997) and becoming a teaching assistant there. He earned a master's degree with distinction in 1424 AH (2003), editing part of Ibn Adi's al-Kamil, and a doctorate in 1431 AH (2010) with a thesis on the problematic hadiths of the Hajj rites (Mushkil Ahadith al-Manasik).

Among his teachers were his father, Sheikh Sulaiman Al-Muhanna, Sheikh Abdulaziz Ibn Baz, and Sheikh Muhammad Al-Shinqiti, with whom he read usul al-fiqh at the Prophet's Mosque. His recitation was issued in the 1442 AH (2020/21) mushaf edition of the Agency for the Affairs of the Prophet's Mosque.
