Biography
Sheikh Nabil Ar-Rifai (b. 1978, Jeddah) is a Saudi Quran reciter, an engineering graduate of King Abdulaziz University, who has served as imam and khatib of the Al-Taqwa Mosque in Jeddah. His complete recitation is recorded in the Hafs an Asim narration.
In a 2010 interview with Al-Madina he said he began memorising the Quran in the third grade of primary school in the memorisation circles of the Quran society in Jeddah, and that he studied under the late Masjid al-Haram imam Sheikh Ali Jaber. He first led prayers as imam in 1417 AH (1996/97) at the Ramadan Mosque in Jeddah's Al-Baghdadiyah district, introduced to the role by Sheikh Firas Al-Sibai.
