Biography

Sheikh Salah Ba'uthman is a Saudi academic and reciter who holds a PhD in tafsir from Umm Al-Qura University. He taught tafsir in the Department of Quranic Studies at King Abdulaziz University, which he also headed, and later served as dean of the College of the Holy Quran and Islamic Studies at the University of Jeddah. He led Taraweeh prayers at Masjid al-Haram in Ramadan 2016 and 2017.

Before his graduate studies he earned a bachelor's degree in Islamic Studies at King Abdulaziz University, where he later worked as an assistant professor in the Department of Quranic Studies and served as head of that department. He has also recorded the complete Quran in murattal style in the Hafs 'an 'Asim narration.
